November, 5th - 4:07 in London, 5:07 in Rome; November 4th, 22:07 in Chicago.
Barack Obama has been elected as the new President of the United States

I wanna thank Larry Simons from Kenosha, Wisconsin for his help. He sent me a lot of useful links and information regarding the Presidential election 2008; he'll go on collaborating with this blog.
All these posts wouldn't have been written without your help. Thank you dude!!

Manca poco

Looking for McCain's Fans in London

Cercateli in Italia.

I am listening to a radio programme and they are looking for some McCain's supporters who would call the radio programme to tell their opinions, but they didn't manage to find any. I ask the show hosts to look for McCain's fans in Italy. They 'll find some berluscones, some tv directors, some Giordanos, who will say that McCain is the best, because he is as old and clever as our Prime Minister.

People in a line to vote - NY

Live from the USA

"My sincerest hope is that this election doesn't degenerate into the kind of fiasco that happened in 2000 with the "hanging chads" and the Supreme Court.
Here is what we get as a badge for doing our patriotic duty:

(...)It took 40 minutes to get into the building and to get my ballot. Once I had the ballot, it took less than a minute to vote". Larry (Kenosha - Wisconsin)

California, proposition 4: This measure would amend the state constitution to require physicians to notify the parents or legal guardian of a pregnant minor at least 48 hours before performing an abortion involving that minor. The measure does not require that parent or guardian's actual consent in order to perform the abortion. Exceptions are provided in the cases of medical emergencies. Also, an adult family may be notified instead if the minor fears abuse from the parent or guardian. Parents may also waive the notification requirement.
Colorado, amendment 48: This measure would amend the state constitution to define the term "person" to include "any human being from the moment of fertilization." This definition would be applied to all aspects of the state constitution, including the provisions that ensure that no person has his or her life, liberty, or property taken away
Washington, initiative 1000:
This measure would allow terminally ill, competent, adult residents of the state to request and self-administer lethal medication prescribed by a physician. The person requesting to end his or her life must be medically predicted to have six months or less to live.

"Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector. The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves. And they shall make a list of all the persons voted for, and of the number of votes for each; which list they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such majority, and have an equal number of votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by ballot one of them for President; and if no person have a majority, then from the five highest on the list the said House shall in like manner choose the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by States, the representation from each state having one vote; A quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. In every case, after the choice of the President, the person having the greatest number of votes of the electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal votes, the Senate shall choose from them by ballot the Vice President".
